1. You have confirmed you have a license in the state you are doing your clinical, or a compact license.
2. The student understands that it is their responsibility to know the requirements of each course and the dates/timing/hours of each. After being accepted and connected with a preceptor, if you need to move your dates back - because you did not get the correct information pertaining to your clinical rotations sequence (dates/semester) or requirements (hours/age range/etc), from your university, there are no guarantees that the preceptor can take you for the new dates/semester/hours needed. The student will lose the deposit and be charged a preceptor change fee if you need to cancel with your current preceptor (who is no longer able to take you for the new dates) and find another one. If you need to increase or decrease hours with a preceptor after paying the final invoice there will be a fee to do so, and no guarantee the preceptor will agree to the change in hours. Please make sure you know exactly what is needed for your rotation before making the final invoice payment.
3. You understand that there are no refunds for any personal reasons (examples may include but not limited to: moving states, student giving incorrect start dates, student booking wrong type of clinical for course, dropping out of school, failing prior class, medical or religious exemption to the covid vaccination that denies a student from moving forward (Please e-mail in writing to your coordinator prior to asking for a preceptor if this is a need to prevent any refund from being denied) , mistakes being made by the university, not getting paperwork to preceptor quick enough, not sickness/injury, not showing up to a rotation, student terminating rotation at any point, student needing less hours, student can not complete rotation due to not having proper license, and/or student fails or has lower evaluation given by preceptor due to poor student performance. A refund may be granted only if the site is rejected (site issues, not student discrepancies) and documentation proven with time stamped e-mails directly from University. If any of these issues come up in your rotation they will need to be addressed before the end date given in order for the possible refund will be reviewed, anything after the end date will not be submitted for review.
4. You understand to not overwhelm preceptors and treat them with respect (ei. calling, texting, e-mailing excessively or in a disrespectful manner) and to send all paperwork to preceptor in one e-mail as soon as you are matched within 7 days from final invoice payment. Every preceptor is different, so please communicate with your preceptor in the fashion they prefer by asking what works best for them (ie. e-mail, text, phone call, etc.) If there are any paperwork issues, we do have a department that will help after all aforementioned directions have been completed, but please know to give preceptor time to complete paperwork as they are very busy in clinic/hospital. If there is a fast turn around needed, please indicate the dates in your initial paperwork e-mail to the preceptor and tell your coordinator.
5. You have checked with your University that the rotation you are booking can be used for the current class you are taking. Preceptor Point will use what you provide as correct information in booking the Preceptor and is not responsible for incorrect information.
6. You understand that the deposit given is refundable only if we, Preceptor Point, do not find a preceptor for you. Once a preceptor is found, the final invoice will be sent and needs to be paid immediately to hold your rotation. Preceptor Point will not hold preceptors for students without a paid final invoice. Please be prepared to move forward promptly as soon as we get confirmation that the preceptor will take you. DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER ACCEPTANCE FROM PRECEPTOR, regardless of student changing mind on location for any reason.
7. You understand preceptors' schedules may change, or availability may be subject to change during holidays and you will need to be flexible with the preceptor in order to complete your hours on time.
8. You understand any additional rotations needed with your currently booked preceptor needs to be communicated to your coordinator as soon as possible. The next rotation can not be assumed/available as a guaranteed spot.
9. If your rotation requires a hotel stay, gas to drive, background check, drug test or anything that requires addition fees it will be the responsibility of the student. Preceptor Point does not cover these costs. Please be aware these things can be required without Preceptor Point's knowledge.
THANK YOU FOR CONFIRMING THE ABOVE WITH YOUR COORDINATOR.
If there are any questions please reach out to your coordinator.
